Video Below- CHOOSING THE GENETICS!

One of the first decisions every mushroom grower must make: choosing which species and strain to cultivate.

Our Reishi, Lion’s Mane and Blue Oyster Mushroom Machines are ready to fruit mushrooms in 12-14 days.

Blue Oyster Guide

Blue Oyster Instructions

1. Open the kit and remove the bag and block from the van.

2. Cut off the top of the van using scissors.

3. Take the mushroom block and pull the "dome" up and off the block so you can make a cut in the plastic.

4. Take a pair of scissors and cut an "x" into the bag from corner to corner.

5. Use a spray bottle and water on top of the surface where you cut, and inside the plastic "dome".

6. Place the "dome" back on the mushroom block. You want the "dome" to be at least 2-3 inches of room above the surface.

7. Put mushroom block back in the van

9. Wait until you see pins (tiny mushrooms) forming from the X cut.

10. Cut open the white filter patch and begin watering daily by removing the dome and rinsing the inside under water, or by spraying water into the grow kit with a spray bottle.

11. Once the fruits reach the size of your thumbnail, make larger cuts in the bag to increase fresh air. Deflate and inflate the dome multiple times per day as needed to maintain humidity and prevent drying. This step requires observation and is only necessary if you are aiming for higher-quality results.

Harvesting Blue Oyster

Wait until the opportune time to harvest the mushrooms. This is ideally before the veil of the cap breaks, and releases dark purple spores. If this short time-frame window is missed, the mushrooms are still safe to consume.

The Mushroom Machine can be a multiple flush grow bag. The quickest, easiest way to harvest is to just cut the entire top off the bag and mow the lawn using a pair of scissors. NEVER PLUCK THE MUSHROOMS FROM THE SURFACE! This damages the surface and will drastically decrease the odds of future flushes from occurring.

After harvesting from the Mushroom Machine, simply drape the top of the bag back over the substrate, wait another 7-10 days, and just harvest again and again.

If extra care is taken after the first harvest. By misting once or twice a day, the chances of getting third or fourth flushes is very likely.
